Welcome to The Kuyu Project

The Kuyu Project is the brain child of Simeon Oriko (http://mtotowajirani.com/) and came as a result of digital literacy efforts in Western Kenya. The idea was picked up by Josef Scarantino of the African Tech Network (http://www.africantechnetwork.com/) who are now the official sponsors of the project.

In the last two months we have built this project from the ground up with a lot of help from the African Tech Network and other volunteers. The interest in the project phenomenally grew to the point that we had to form a team that would oversee the growth and running of this project. The Core Team Members are as follows:

  • Simeon Oriko
  • Deborah Elzie
  • Victor Miclovich

Besides the core team, we are recruiting volunteers to be regional ambassadors. So far we have Nancy Muigei who is coming on board as the regional ambassador for Eastern Africa.

We are not stopping there! We are looking for young talented people with a similar passion as ours to join us on the team. We are looking for volunteers to help contribute content to the wiki and also as regional ambassadors.

If you believe you are up to the challenge and share the same passion we do, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll get back to you.

We are glad you chose to join this initiative!

I love your initiative, keep up the good job and be blessed. I’d like to volunteer; what are the requirements?
